Scotts has two different products for taking care of your lawn. One is called Scotts Lawn Pro Super Turf Builder with Plus 2 Weed Control, and the other is called Scotts Super Bonus S Weed and Feed. When you use these products, it’s important to follow the instructions on the label, just like with any other lawn chemicals.

Weed and feed does two things: it helps your lawn grow better by making the roots stronger and the grass thicker, and it also gets rid of dandelions and other weeds in your lawn. You should use Scotts Plus 2 only two times during the growing season when dandelions and other lawn weeds

Before you use the Scotts product, make sure to check the weather forecast. There shouldn’t be any rain expected for at least 24 hours after you put the fertilizer on your lawn. Also, don’t water your lawn for 24 hours after using the weed and feed.

When you’re putting on the fertilizer, it’s best to do it when it’s not windy. If it’s windy, the fertilizer might get blown onto your plants and bushes, which isn’t good.

Here’s a simpler way to explain the steps for using Scotts Weed and Feed:

  1. Check the Grass: First, take a look at your grass. If it’s dry, you’ll want to make it slightly wet. You can do this by lightly sprinkling some water on it. This helps the fertilizer stick to the grass and the weeds.
  2. Set the Spreader: You’ll need a tool called a spreader to put the fertilizer on your lawn. There are two kinds: rotary or broadcast spreaders and drop spreaders. Look at the chart on the fertilizer bag to find the right setting for your spreader. Before filling it, do this on a sidewalk or driveway so any spilled fertilizer doesn’t harm your lawn.
  3. Fill the Hopper: Now, fill the spreader with the fertilizer. Remember to do this on the sidewalk or driveway.
  4. Apply the Fertilizer: Follow the directions on your spreader to put the fertilizer on your lawn. Don’t put too much in one spot, and don’t overlap your application. This can burn your grass.
  5. Clean Up: After you finish, sweep away any fertilizer that landed on the sidewalk or driveway. Also, rinse out your spreader and let it dry.

Important Note: Keep your kids and pets off the grass for at least 24 hours after using the fertilizer, or until you’ve watered the lawn. This is important to keep them safe.
